Este artículo nos habla de las mujeres que tuvieron que decidir sus destinos el último día de guerra. De las militantes antifascistas que, sabiendo que no habría perdón para los vencidos, optaron por salir del país o afrontar una represión cruel y segura. Que vivieron, desde entonces, en el exilio interior o exterior, pero sin renunciar a su ideología. Todo ello se aborda a partir de fuentes orales y memorialísticas centradas en dos mujeres comunistas, de la misma edad e idéntico origen social y geográfico. Dos camaradas que nunca se reconocieron como amigas en sus diarios, pero cuyas vidas debieron cruzarse en varios momentos. Dos representantes de una “identidad grupal”, a las que accedemos también a través de sus hijas, construyendo un recuerdo generacional y una visión intersubjetiva de la posguerra española.

This article talks about the women who had to decide their fate on the last day of war. Of the anti-fascist militants, knowing that there would be no forgiveness for the defeated, they chose to leave the country or face a cruel and safe repression. Ever since, they lived the internal or external exile without renouncing their ideology. This is approached from oral sources and memoirs focusing on two communist women who were on the same age and had the identical social and geographical origin. Two comrades who never recognized them as friends in their papers, but whose lives had crossed at various times. Two representatives of a “group identity”, which also gain access through their daughters, building a inter-generational memory and inter-subjective vision of the Spanish postwar.
