| nonsmall cell lung cancer | definition: malignant neoplasm in which cancer cells are found in the tissue of the lungs. Its known causes are smoking, passive smoking and exposure to radon. It usually shows no symptoms until it is fairly advanced. Its main symptoms are: chronic cough, wheezing unrelated to asthma, fever, weakness, weight loss, and chest pain.
