Introduction

The Department of Geometry and Topology of the University of Granada hosted a two-days conference on November 22-23, 2012.

The aim of the workshop was to bring together people working in Geometric Analysis. The meeting consisted of two different sessions; one of them covering the most geometric aspects of submanifold theory and the other one covering the most complex analytic ones.

There were ample opportunities for discussions and interactions among the participants.
