How to arrive in Granada

By plane: the airport of Granada is quite small and most flights are national. Granada airport is arond 12km from the city centre. On arrival one can take a taxi from the airport (approx. 30 euros). There is also a bus service which takes you to the city centre of Granada, see www.alsa.es. The bus times tie in with all the flights. Another possibility is to come to Malaga airport, which is the closest international airport to Granada. Málaga airport is 125km from Granada and it takes about 90 minutes to drive from Malaga to Granada. Every day there are a couple of buses coming to Granada directly from Malaga airport. But depending on your arrival time, you may need to take a taxi or a bus to the Malaga Bus station, and then a bus to Granada. In both cases, you can check availability, schedules and book your tickets in advance in the website www.alsa.es.

By train: The Granada train station is currently out of service; most trains arriving in Granada stop at Antequera, and then a bus takes you to the Granada train station. This makes this option rather unconfortable. In any case, you can can check availability, schedules and book your tickets in advance in the website www.renfe.es.

By bus: There are buses coming from most of the cities in Spain: many of them come with the company Alsa (www.alsa.es).The bus station in Granada is quite far from the center, and you may need to take a taxi or a local bus when you arrive.
