to flotation.
• Non-equilibrium thermodynamics of electrokinetic phenomena.
• Electrokinetics of fabrics and fibres. Application to dyeing.
• Applications of Interfacial Physical-Chemistry in Pharmacy (stability
control of drug dispersions) and other systems of bio-medical interest
(mechanisms of kidney and vesicle stone formation, the role of bile
salts, etc.)
• Fundamentals and applications of wetting.
• Use of Network Thermodynamic Method for theoretical studies
of transport (diffusion, convection, electrokinetic) phenomena in membranes.
• Synthesis and characterization of colloidal model (nano- and
micro-) particles for use in different technological applications.
• Magnetic fluids: preparation and study of their magnetorheological
properties and applications to technological devices.1
