I was born in 1969 in Jaén, Spain. My scholar life was in a little village, Torredonjimeno (Jaén).
M.Sc. in Maths (Statistics and Operations Research), University of Granada, 1992 (July).
Ph.D. in Maths, Department of Statistics and Operations Research, University of Granada, 1996 (February).
Member of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research (Campus de Cartuja Unit), University of Granada, as Associate Professor since 1999.
From October 2009 to February 2019, I held the position of Academic Secretary in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Granada.
Since February 2019, I hold the position of Deputy Inspector of the University of Granada.
Member of the research group Modelling and Forecasting with Functional Data
My current areas of research interest can be summarized by the following keywords: Continuous Time Stochastic Process, Functional Data Analysis, Hilbert Valued Random Variables, functional generalization of Multivariate Analysis, Dimension Reduction Techniques, Numerical Techniques for Approximating/Interpolating curves (Orthogonal Projection, Splines, Wavelets). Further, I have collaborated on some applied works on Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry and Political Science.
