Alicia Relinque, Head of the Confucius Institute at UGR, has been awarded the Special Book Prize at the Beijing Book Fair.
In an interview with EFE, the Spanish synologist Alicia Relinque, winner of the Special Book Prize at the Beijing Book Fair, hopes that this award will encourage support for studies on China in Spain, which continue to require institutional support.
Relinque, translator and professor of Classical Chinese Literature at the University of Granada, has received the award in this year's edition of the fair, and today starred in a small tribute at the Cervantes Institute in Beijing.

Alicia Relinque is professor of Classical Literature, Chinese Literary Theory and Criticism, and General Literature Theory, and Chinese Language at the University of Granada. She holds a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a degree in Sinology from the University of Paris and a doctorate from the University of Granada. In the academic field, she has also been an exchange professor at the University of Beijing, guest lecturer at the University of Hong Kong City and collaborator at the Open University of Catalonia. She is currently head of the Confucius Institute at the University of Granada.
