Our Degree in History and Science of Music offers music-related studies that are approached from a number of different perspectives: its history, philosophy, and importance in contemporary society. We also offer you the opportunity to study music from other cultures and countries, as well as current music trends. In four years, you will study the theoretical and practical aspects necessary to carry out a professional position in a variety of areas related to music.

While undertaking our Degree in History and Science of Music, you will be able to study the more traditional aspects of music studies, such as history, analysis, philosophy, theory and musical notation, as well as more innovative areas such as new technology, audio-visual mediums and urban music trends.

Our Degree in History and Science of Music is ideal for acquiring the necessary qualifications to become a music teacher in Spanish secondary schools. Other career options include working in the media, at recording studios, at publishing houses, in communication sciences and documentation, archives and in music promotion centres.
