Additionally, you can choose more languages as electives, such as Catalan, Dutch, Galician or Polish. The languages on offer may vary from year to year.
German is the most spoken language in the European Union, with one third of its population being native speakers. Germany is the world’s second-largest exporter. Its economy ranks number one in Europe, while it publishes 12% of all the books in the world. German is also the second most important language on the Internet, with 8% of all webpages in this language. Studying German Translation and Interpreting at the UGR therefore opens up a world of career opportunities.
As a student on our degree, you will study a number of subjects linked to your B and C languages, in order to learn those languages and practice them thoroughly in the areas of translation and interpreting. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the cultures related to these languages.
