By plane:

The airport of Granada is quite small. It has good connections with Madrid, Barcelona and there are also some international flights with British Airways, Easyjet and Vueling. On arrival one can take a taxi from the airport (approx. 30 euros). There is also a bus service which takes you to the city centre of Granada (3 euros). See www.alsa.es. The bus times tie in with all the flights.

Another possibility to reach Granada is to fly to the airport of Málaga, the nearest airport with a better range of international flight destinations. There are several direct buses from Malaga Airport to Granada. The journey time is 2 hours, and it is advisible to buy your tickets in advance to get a seat. There are many more buses from Malaga bus station to Granada, that run every 1-2 hours and journey time is 1.5-2 hours. In this case, you need either to take a bus from Malaga airport to Malaga bus station that run every 30 minutes and it takes 30 minutes (3 euros) or to take the train from Malaga airport to Malaga Mária Zambrano (railways and bus station) that run every 20 minutes and it takes only 15 minutes (1.80 euros). In both cases, you can buy your bus tickets Malaga (bus station or airport) - Granada in the website www.alsa.es (approx. 12 euros). The last bus to Granada is at 21:30; if your flight arrives at 21:00 or later, you will have to spend the night in Malaga or take a taxi to Granada, which can cost about 180 euros.

By train:

The Granada train station is currently out of service; most trains arriving in Granada stop at Antequera, and then a bus takes you to the Granada train station. This makes this option rather unconfortable. In any case, you can check availability, schedules and book your tickets in advance in the website www.renfe.es.

By bus:

There are buses coming from most of the cities in Spain: many of them come with the company Alsa (www.alsa.es.). From the bus station in Granada you may need to take a taxi or a local bus.
