At the Institute we undertake multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects together with researchers from the UGR’s Biomedical Research Centre (CIBM), the Neuroscience, Nutrition, and Food Technology Institute (INYTA), the Andalusian Stem Cell Bank (BACM), and the Genomics and Oncology Institute (GENYO). Our collaboration with of all these Institutes has been key to the centre’s growth and success.
We continuously strive to secure funding for innovative new research projects, combining fundamental and applied research techniques. We also constantly explore potential clinical applications of breakthroughs made at the Institute, thus extending our public outreach and the impact of our research developments upon society
The Institute’s contribution to public wellbeing and the health sector is exceptional, and is demonstrated by the fact that the Health Science Technology Park itself is endorsed by the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Department of Innovation, Science and Commerce, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the University of Granada, the Granada City Council, the Provincial Council of Granada, and the Council for Scientific Research, and Granada’s Commercial, Industrial and Maritime Chamber.
