Business administration and management is the discipline which studies the process of managing a business in order to ensure that it grows and thrives. It involves controlling a wide range of aspects that make up a business, such as staff, finance, marketing strategies, production, commerce and legal matters.
Students on our Degree are taught the ins and outs of this exciting field with the aim of preparing them to successfully manage a business in the competitive and ever-changing professional sphere. These competencies range from successfully interacting with your staff to administering material and financial resources appropriately.
Our teaching staff have considerable experience and expertise in business administration, both through practice in the professional market, and as teachers. Business administration is taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, which has a wealth of resources available to help the students become excellent professionals in this field. This Faculty is located in the centre of the Cartuja campus, the largest of the university campuses in Granada, with a wide variety of services available to the student, such as sports centres, libraries, and multimedia rooms, to mention just a few.
This four-year Degree consists of three learning stages: basic, core and elective subjects. These include subjects in areas such as economics, mathematics, marketing, politics, business administration, law, and commerce. There is also an optional internship programme which can be completed in the fourth academic year.
According to a survey undertaken by the University of Granada, 83% of the graduates in this degree found a job related to business management in the first six months after finishing their studies. Competent professionals in business administration are highly sought-after in almost any sector. They can establish their own business, work in the private sector as managers in all kinds of enterprises, or in the public sector (regional, national or international), coordinate international commerce between companies or countries, pursue research in the field ,or become teachers of the discipline, either in higher or secondary education.
Business administration is a complex discipline. Professionals in this field have to take into account, and fully comprehend, all of the factors that go into the making of a successful company or organisation. Our graduates are able to satisfy the demands of the professional labour market, and become competent experts in managing any business.
