The seminar on Political Islam in Europe, which will be held from 23 to 27 April 2018, is part of a cycle of seminars organised by the Euro-Arab Foundation for Higher Studies through its Chair in Studies of Islamic Civilisation and Renewal of Religious Thought.
The 9th Conference on International Policy and Security: Strategic trends in the Southern Mediterranean – Horizon 2040, will be held at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology of the UGR on 19, 20 and 27 April.
The UGRQR mobile application was presented at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting on the 6 April. This inclusive and accessible app makes it possible for those with disabilities to navigate more effectively around the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting and the School of Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, both of which have jointly coordinated the project. The app lets users find and identify the different spaces that make up these buildings, guiding them around and providing them with practical information along the way.
The White Night festival of Granada 2018, which will take place on the 14 April, will encompass over 270 diverse cultural activities and will be dedicated to the renowned Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. During the White Night—held annually on the longest night of the year—Granada’s streets and squares will play host to a vast array of concerts, plays, magic shows, markets, exhibitions, parades, sports activities, poetry readings, guided tours, gastronomy, and activities for children.
The Equality and Conciliation Unit of the University of Granada has organised a course on sexual and gender identity titled “Universidad: Identidades Sexuales y de Género”, which will be held at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology from 18 April to 11 May 2018.

The UGR recently offered a course on the internationalization of higher education through international mobility programmes at the University of Mandalay (Myanamar) from 12 to 16 March 2018.
